Step-by-step written instructions
(for larger image: Right Click>Open Image in New Tab)
Setup a Featured Posts Section
Create a canvas with your featured post layout containing the placeholders you want shown for the post: Featured Image, Post Title, Post Top Category, etc.
Change the canvas type to Wordpress: Posts View Lookup
Define the Tag Name Slug: (typically "featured") and the Number of Posts to show.
**If you define more posts than your layout supports, be sure to activate for Canvas Views to Auto Advance.
To populate the most recent posts in the canvas, leave the Category and Tag slug fields blank.

How to configure browsing arrows
If you want to allow users to cycle through additional sets of posts, be sure to set the number of posts larger than the number in your layout (ie. Layout is 3 posts, set Number of Posts to 9). Then be sure to set for the canvas to either Auto-Advance under the Canvas > View Transitions settings. Or setup arrows on the canvas and link them to Canvas > This Canvas > Next/Previous to allow click through of the posts.
