If you are just about ready to go live and want to start the process of either connecting your domain or migrating a blog but you aren't ready for your full site to be accessible just yet, you can create a landing page that visitors will see while you finalize your design.

Don't want to DIY? You can now shop pre-designed & ready to launch landing pages in the add-ons section of our design market!

Create Your Landing Page

First, add a blank page to serve as your landing page. To do this, click on the Site tab in the left side Site Panel and navigate to your list of pages. To the right of your Pages, select the + icon. Then choose to Add blank Page.

Double click on the page's name in the left side panel to rename it.

Design Options

Once you have a Landing Page created and named, you can set an image for your Canvas Background. To do this choose the Canvas Background tab in the right side Properties Panel.

You can add text or other elements to design the landing page to let your visitors know that your new site is launching very soon.

Then under the Canvas tab in the right side Properties Panel set the Canvas Type to Window Height for both the mobile and desktop layout. This will allow the canvas to fill the dimensions on any display your landing page is being viewed on.

Set as Homepage

Finally, click on the three dots to the right of your landing page's name and choose to Set as Homepage in the dropdown menu.

Just publish and your new landing page is all set!

If you would like, you can even add a simple contact form to capture clients' info while the rest of your site is being built.

Note: This landing page serves as a wall or gate, the rest of your site content will still be live along with the landing page. Your site may be discoverable if a user were to search for a page within your site via a direct link for one of the pages hidden behind this landing page.

While this is not likely to happen, there are other ways in which you can hide pages, and you can even set a page to not publish so that it will not display on your live site.
